Sandra Day is a Past-President of Magnet Schools of America and was formerly employed by Omaha Publics Schools. She served that district as a classroom teacher in magnet schools, a technology coordinator, a professional development coordinator, and the district’s Magnet School Coordinator and AVID District Director.
In 2006, Ms. Day served as Vice President for Conference Planning for the 24th National Conference on Magnet Schools held in Omaha, Nebraska. She retired from the Omaha Public Schools in 2015 and currently works for the Council Bluffs Community Schools. She is their 21st CCLC Program Director, serving students through out-of-school programming.
