Ramin Taheri joined Magnet Schools of America as CEO in January 2023. Previously, he served as chief of staff for the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights, where he coordinated activities related to media and communications, congressional affairs, strategic policy development, and organizational management. Ramin has held various leadership positions in nonprofit education organizations and across different levels of government, all focused on access and opportunity in public schools. He lives in Washington, DC, with his wife, their two children, and their dog-like cat.
