Over the past decade, Kelly Bucherie has dedicated her career to advancing the mission of the National Institute for Magnet School Leadership (NIMSL) and supporting Magnet Schools of America (MSA). From humble beginnings as a solo operator, Kelly’s leadership has nurtured a team of 25 proficient magnet specialists who now extend their expertise to schools and districts nationwide. Under Kelly’s strategic guidance, she has grown the National Institute for Magnet School Leadership into a consistent high revenue stream while servicing the membership with unique magnet school-specific professional development opportunities in coaching, workshops and trainings.
As former Assistant Superintendent/Academic Manager for Clark County School District in Las Vegas, Nevada, Kelly oversaw Magnet Schools, Career and Technical Academies, and managed open enrollment procedures. She notably served as project manager for a Magnet Schools Assistance Program (MSAP) federal grant, overseeing successful implementation of multiple magnet programs.
Kelly uses her unique skills as a former district administrator to impact the current needs of school districts and membership, providing practical consultation and actionable improvement plans for magnet schools nationwide.
