We were thrilled to see 43 members of the House of Representatives, both Democrats and Republicans, signal their support for robust funding for the Magnet Schools Assistance Program in this year’s federal budget process. You can read the letter of support here.
We hope that even in a fiscally constrained environment, Congress will heed the calls of MSA and our supporters in the House and provide additional funding for MSAP this year, building on the historic $30 million in additional MSAP funds provided in the last two years.
In other news, we at MSA headquarters are getting excited for MSA 2023, hosted by Dallas Independent School District, April 18-22! There’s still time to register and join more than 1,200 magnet teachers and administrators. We will be focusing on best practices in curriculum and instruction, technology integration, school leadership, and magnet school design. Don’t miss out; register today.
