Jillian Schulte serves as the Director of Magnet Programming, supporting magnet schools and innovative programs in the Cedar Rapids Community School District. She is driven by her personal and professional mission, “To show up with courage and a whole heart, so that together we can lead, learn, grow, and make a positive impact on each other and our world.” Jillian brings 19 years of experience to this role, the last nine of which she has had a vital role in the design and implementation of magnet schools across the district. During her teaching career in Cedar Rapids, Jillian received a Master of Arts in Teaching from Morningside College (2009) and National Board Certification (2013). She had the opportunity to launch a new magnet school and experienced the positive impact of students, families, staff, and community rallying around a common mission and vision.
Most recently, Jillian earned a Master of Science in Educational Leadership with Principalship from Drake University (2016). Jillian remains passionate about the magnet school purpose and is committed to creating racially and socioeconomically integrated school environments that foster meaningful interaction among diverse peers, increase student achievement, and reduce opportunity gaps.
