Mohammed Choudhury is a seasoned local and state level educational leader whose focus is on addressing opportunity gaps and advancing academic achievement at scale, especially for students from marginalized communities. Choudhury has served as Director and Interim Chief of Transformation and Innovation for Dallas ISD; Chief Strategy, Talent, and Innovation Officer, San Antonio ISD; State Superintendent of Schools (Maryland) and Senior Advisor, Maryland State Board of Education, and is currently serving as the Deputy Superintendent of Learning and Leading, Fort Worth ISD. He started his career as a middle school teacher in Los Angeles and was named as a “Leader to Learn From” by Education Week in 2018. He earned his B.A. from California State University, Northridge and his M.Ed. in Urban Education and leadership from UCLA.
