A twenty-year veteran of Houston ISD, Justin Fuentes began as a mathematics teacher at M. B. Lamar High School, served as both Dean of Students and Principal at Challenge Early College High School, Principal at Sterling Aviation High School, and both Director and School Support Officer over High Schools. As the Assistant Superintendent for School Choice, his team supports the 118 HISD schools with active magnet programs, and the 90,000 HISD students per year who attend a campus other than their zoned neighborhood school. He earned his B.S. in Mathematics and his M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from the University of Houston.
